Ryan Brouwer founded Choice Builders in 2008 in Sioux Falls, SD. Even though it was in the middle of a recession, Ryan was determined to make his dream a reality. His experience building houses—including his own from the ground up—has helped him better understand every aspect of the building process. From designing and framing to managing subcontractors (plumbers, electricians, etc.), Ryan and our team have learned that knowing how to manage projects makes effective use of our clients’ time, saves on cost, and increases efficiency.

Our subcontractors tell us, “Your job sites are different from any sites I’ve worked on before.” That’s because we’ve put together a great team—people willing to work together to make the job go smoother. What does that mean for you? A better customer experience and higher-quality work because people are excited to work together.

Here’s a little bit more about the Choice Builders team:

Ryan Brouwer

Ryan grew up on a dairy farm in Minnesota with six siblings, so he learned the value of hard work at an early age. While going to school for carpentry, he worked milking cows, building barns, and performing other jobs for a dairy farmer. He then spent a few years developing his skills in carpentry and framing in Sioux Falls, SD, before deciding to found Choice Builders.

In founding Choice Builders, Ryan wanted an opportunity to use his personal experience and skills to help clients build their dream homes. His mindset on every project is to be thorough and thoughtful and to find the best value in anything he’s spending money on—because that’s how he lives his own life.

On the personal side, Ryan and his wife, Danielle—both lifelong Minnesota Vikings fans—live in Sioux Falls, SD. Ryan loves being a dad, and with four young kids, there’s always a new game to play or skill to learn. He also enjoys gardening, camping, and other outdoor activities.

Danielle Brouwer
Danielle is our superstar accountant. She has been part of the Choice Builders team for years and does an exceptional job of managing the financial details—all while being a full-time mom. If Danielle ever has free time, she spends it reading or listening to true crime podcasts.

Subcontractors

For any new construction project or major remodel, subcontractors are essential. Choice Builders has spent years cultivating a list of skilled professionals in and around the Sioux Falls area who we trust fully to do high-level work at a reasonable rate.
